      Mitsubishi Estate and IHI Corporation completed office building in the Tokyo Bay Area

      Mitsubishi Estate and IHI Corporation, a major Japanese heavy industries firm, announced that they have just completed a 100,000 sqm office building in the Tokyo Bay Area (Toyosu, Koto-ward), where a factory of IHI had been located.

      Mori Building will start construction in central Tokyo

      Nikkei RE reports that Mori Building will start construction of 250,000 sqm buildings in central Tokyo (Toranomon), with completion scheduled for September 2014. The buildings will consist of offices, shops, a hotel and residences. The project is part of a large city redevelopment plan of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

      Tokyo Kikai Seisakusho is going to develop a mall & condo complex

      Nikkei RE reports that Tokyo Kikai Seisakusho, a Japanese printing machine manufacturer is going to develop a 214,000 sqm mall & condo complex on the 34,000 sqm site of its former factory in Tokyo suburb Musashi-Kosugi (Kawasaki). The 110,000 sqm mall will be completes in 2014 and the 57 story, 770 unit apartment building is scheduled for completion in 2015.

      Nikkei RE reports on July 15, 2010 that Mitsuba Kogyo, a private company engaged in the operation of movie theaters and real estate leasing business will construct 12,000 sqm rental office in central Tokyo (Kojimachi)

      Nikkei RE reports on July 13, 2010 a subsidiary of NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) starts construction of 15,000 sqm rental office in central Tokyo (Kanda)

      Shiseido reconstructs Ginza headquarters

      Developers

      Shiseido, the biggest cosmetic company in Japan, announced that they would reconstruct Ginza headquarters, planning a 9,000 sqm office building.
